Songs that start where they’re written and end somewhere nobody planned.
Supermassive Black Holes play Rock Island Live on Friday, August 7th, from 8 to 11 PM in the American Royal Hall. The Kansas City four-piece formed in 2010 out of Monday jam nights at Crosstown Station. Expect psychedelic rock with prog edges, four-part harmonies, and improv that takes the songs somewhere new every night. Three hours of it on the historic Rock Island Bridge, above the Kansas River.
Here’s What to Expect:
- Three hours of live psychedelic rock from Supermassive Black Holes, 8 to 11 PM
- Songs from Stop Safely Now, their first full-length album
- Long-form improv that shifts from one show to the next
- Free admission, plus food and drinks on site
- A Friday night of live rock with the Kansas River below you
