MEET YOU ON
THE BRIDGE

Soon, there will be something happening on & around the Rock Island Bridge morning, noon and night.

Our partners and us are building levee-top trails for biking and walking, docks for kayaking and paddle boarding, zip lines for well ... flying, and venues, kitchens, coffee shops & bars for celebrating.

The Rock Island Bridge is a Kansas City first!

OPENING SPRING '24

Construction crews are elevating the bridge, creating a new 700 ft long public crossing, widening the structure with steel cantilevers off both sides, adding a second level, attaching railings, and bringing utilities and all the creature comforts we expect from a world-class entertainment destination and trailhead.
Construction Updates

Before starting this project, we couldn’t even spell cantilever. ...
