Street Styles Academy brings Jam Fest Live KC to the West Truss on August 15th for an afternoon of street dance competition. SSA has been training Kansas City dancers since 2010 out of Hy-Vee Arena, teaching hip hop, breaking, popping, locking, krump, and house. The floor goes down on the open deck, the crowd forms around it, and the Kansas River runs underneath. It’s a different kind of Saturday.
Here’s What to Expect:
- Street dance battles from Street Styles Academy dancers and competitors
- Hip hop, breaking, popping, locking, krump, and house styles on the floor
- Four hours of competition from 3 to 7 p.m. on the West Truss
- Food and drinks available from the bridge
- Open-air viewing with the Kansas City skyline behind the dancers

River House is the bridge’s full-service dining experience, featuring a Midwest Lake House × Coastal Smokehouse menu, cocktails, and scenic river views beginning at 3 PM daily.
Rock Island Eats opens at 11 AM with a more casual walk-up menu of comfort food favorites and quick bites perfect for enjoying while exploring the bridge.
